Delete your account
Last updated: May 18, 2026
You can delete your Essentialis account and all associated data at any time. Two paths:
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open Essentialis on your phone.
- Go to Profile → Delete account.
- You'll be offered to Export first (CSV / JSON / photo archive) — recommended if you want a copy of your wardrobe.
- Confirm deletion. Your wardrobe and outfits are wiped from this device immediately.
- Server-side data is queued for deletion and fully removed within 30 days. During this grace period you can sign in again to cancel.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app for any reason — phone lost, app uninstalled, account locked — email support@essentialisapp.com from the address you used to sign up.
Please include:
- The email address associated with your account.
- The sign-in provider you used (Apple, Google, or email).
- The phrase "Delete my Essentialis account" so we can route the request quickly.
We will confirm the request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive a final confirmation email when your data is fully erased.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, sign-in identifiers).
- Your wardrobe items, photos, outfits, and wear logs.
- Your preferences (style, occasions, language, notifications, privacy choices).
- Your AI interaction history and any cached suggestions.
- Your subscription record (the subscription itself must be cancelled separately in your device's account settings — see below).
What does NOT get deleted automatically
- Active subscriptions managed by Apple or Google. Cancel them in App Store → Account → Subscriptions or Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Backups stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive — these are under your control. Remove them in your cloud account if you want them gone.
- Anonymous, aggregated crash and analytics data that cannot be linked back to you. This may be retained for up to 12 months for product improvement.
Re-creating an account later
You can sign up again at any time using the same Apple ID, Google account, or email. A fresh account is created — no previous data is restored.
