Terms of Service

By installing or using Essentialis ("the app", "the service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who we are

Essentialis is an AI-assisted digital wardrobe and personal stylist. Contact: support@essentialisapp.com.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Essentialis.
• You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID, Google account, or email login credentials secure.
• You may delete your account at any time — see Delete account.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to bypass security, or violate these terms.

3. Subscriptions and free tier

Essentialis offers a generous free tier with unlimited wardrobe items, basic AI styling, weather and calendar integration, and full export rights.

Premium features (unlimited AI generation, advanced analytics, packing AI, virtual try-on) are available via auto-renewing subscriptions:

• Weekly — billed every 7 days.
• Monthly — billed every month, with a 7-day free trial.
• Yearly — billed every 12 months, with a 7-day free trial.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel any subscription in your device's account settings (App Store or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we don't prorate refunds for unused time, except where required by law.

Prices are localized to your country. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. We may change prices for future billing periods; existing subscribers keep their current price for at least one renewal cycle and are notified before any change.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
• Use the AI features to generate content that violates the Anthropic Acceptable Use Policy.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically extract data beyond the export tools we provide.
• Share an account with multiple people in a way that bypasses Family Plan pricing.
• Resell access to the app or the AI features.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of every photo, outfit, note, and tag you create in Essentialis. By using the app you grant us a limited, revocable licence to store, process, and display your content solely to deliver the service to you. We will never sell your content. We will never use your photos to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in via Settings → Privacy.

6. AI-generated suggestions

Outfit suggestions are produced by AI models and are recommendations, not professional styling advice. We don't guarantee that any specific combination is suitable for a particular occasion, body, or dress code. Use your judgement.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or temporarily disable parts of the app. Critical data (wardrobe and outfits) can be exported at any time so you're never locked in.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Essentialis is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost data, lost time, or reliance on AI suggestions). Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of EU courts unless your local consumer law gives you a stronger right.
